Features
The PLANET WGSD-1022 provides 8 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, either TP or SFP per port. The two Gigabit ports either can be 1000Base-T for 10/100/1000Mbps or 1000Base-SX/LX through SFP (Small Factor Pluggable) interface. The distance can be extended from 100 meters (TP), 550 meters (Multi-Mode fiber), up to above 10/50/70/120 kilometers (Single-Mode fiber).
The WGSD-1022 equipped with non-blocking 5.6Gbps backplane, which greatly simplifies the tasks of upgrading your LAN for catering to increased bandwidth demands.
For efficient management, the WGSD-1022 Ethernet Managed Switch is equipped with console interface. With its built-in Web-Based management, the PLANET WGSD-1022 offers an easy-to-use, platform-independent management, and configuration facility. It can be programmed for basic switch management functions such as port speed configuration, Port Trunking, VLAN, QoS, bandwidth control, L2 to L4 ACL, 802.1X Port-Based Network access control and IGMP Snooping.
The WGSD-1022 provides 802.1Q Tagged VLAN. The VLAN groups allowed on the WGSD-1022 will be maximally up to 255. Via supporting port trunking, WGSD-1022 allows the operation of a high-speed trunk combining multiple ports. WGSD-1022 also provides four groups of up to 4-ports for trunking, and it supports fail-over as well.
The PLANET WGSD-1022 supports standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and can be managed via any standard-based management software. For text-based management, the WGSD-1022 can also be accessed via Telnet and the console port. For secure remote management, the WGSD-1022 support SSL and SSH connection which encrypt the packet content at each session.
